The Cowboy Kind by Darrel Arnold, Forward by Richard Farnsworth
What we really like about this book is all the familiar faces from NE New Mexico. It's great to open a page and see Jack Cates holding open a gate down in the hondo, or Jeff Nourse belting out a tune, not to mention Dusty Ray and Jimmy Garcia horseback inside Pat's City Bar at Mosquero.
Darrell Arnold, publisher and editor of Cowboy Magazine, has traveled the United States for the past twenty years, photographing ranch people and recording their words. More than 120 black-and-white photographs and 170 quotes from ranching men and women.
